Facilities in Mexico and the loo with the best view

So to have enough energy to do what I am undertaking you need to consume a lot of calories which means you need to eat a lot. The inevitable consequence of this is that you need to also visit the little boys room a lot. In the US that was normally quite easy and hygienic – just pop into a Starbucks or Subway and Bob’s your uncle a facility with a regular cleaning schedule.

In Mexico things are a little different. Lets have a look at the best and worst. The worst is pretty obvious. This was at a campsite a few days ago. If you think it looks bad you should have smelt it. It was so bad that the lorry drivers were taking their loo roll to the woods instead. Needless to say I held on till the next stop.

The other two photos are from my loo this morning. While it may be rustic there were no issues with smell due to the unbeatable ventilation. And I think we can all agree that the view from the loo seat has to be one of the best in the world.

Tonight’s option is closer to the first if not worse! I am currently working out if I can wait till tomorrows stop!!!

  1. Hahahahaha!!! Can’t wait to join you… Erm…

  2. I might buy a portable bidet and preach its advantages to the people of South America. No toilet paper means a lot less clogging of their poor infrastructure. There is a great environmental impact with the reduction in toilet paper manufacturing, less water needed, less energy, less trees. Not to mention that it’s a lot more hygenic.

    Be safe out there,
