10X10X10 Challenge

hill training

Hill training in London can be quite difficult. There are hills around but you need to find them and then be prepared to go and tackle them. I try to include the 10X10X10 challenge into my training to help overcome this. It is also a great gym workout when the weather is a little dreary outside.

Although this looks quite an easy challenge I can ensure that it is deceptive.

  • Jump on the treadmill and set the speed to 10km
  • Then set the gradient to 1%
  • When you have finished the first KM increase by 1%
  • Continue to increase by 1% until you reach 10km

This workout takes 1 hour. It can be adapted to be a good end of work out jog. Follow the same approach but switch KM for minutes.
