Hill training in London can be quite difficult. There are hills around but you need to find them and then be prepared to go and tackle them. I try to include the 10X10X10 challenge into my training to help overcome this. It is also a great gym workout when the weather is a little dreary outside.
Although this looks quite an easy challenge I can ensure that it is deceptive.
- Jump on the treadmill and set the speed to 10km
- Then set the gradient to 1%
- When you have finished the first KM increase by 1%
- Continue to increase by 1% until you reach 10km
This workout takes 1 hour. It can be adapted to be a good end of work out jog. Follow the same approach but switch KM for minutes.
